This blog is a new, and exciting, one for us. We were contacted by a fantastic local publication, called 585 Magazine, and asked if Mike could build something for their March/April publication. Since we planned to do a guest room makeover in the spring, we moved our timeline up. Mike offered to build something for the room and we chose this queen size farmhouse style headboard because it would go with my overall vision for the room.
The magazine crew came out for a couple photo shoots and our cute dogs ended up being in the shoot. They both loved posing!
The magazine team brought a couple cute models with them. Zoe loved posing with her new little friend and this adorable pic ended up being the cover of the magazine. You can see the issue and subscribe to 585 Magazine Here.
So back to the headboard! Mike built this pretty quickly, in an afternoon, and says that if you have intermediate woodworking skills it should be pretty easy to tackle.
I love how chippy and rustic it looks.
Instead of making you consult back to the blog for building instructions, we thought we would make the directions printable. To download the instructions just enter your name and email below, and you will receive them immediately. These instructions are for a queen size headboard.
If you’re new to DIY Mike has created a list of his most used power tools that will help you with projects. You can find that here.
It’s our first time creating a tutorial so we would love your feedback. If there’s anything we can do to make them better, please feel free to let us know. If you have question post them below or email me at Heather@centsiblechateau.com.
