It’s One Room Challenge Week Two! Last week I explained what the challenge is and which room we are redecorating. This week I want to share my vision boards with you. Our farmhouse style family room makeover is going to include pieces that are old, new, painted, handmade and redesigned. We are doing all of the projects ourselves and we’ll share them with you along the way.
The largest pieces I’ll be adding are an Ikea couch and a matching chair! I have wanted the white slip-covered furniture for years. Two years ago when I went to buy it people talked me out of it, and I have regretted it ever since! So after reading many great reviews I am getting my Ikea furniture! ♥
With all that white I’m going to need to make sure to add lots of textures. I’ll be using wood, fabrics, metal and greenery to accessorize the space. Plus, husband is going to create a focal wall behind the couch with wood. I’m 85% sure I’m going to do shiplap but I reserve the right to change my mind. I have shiplap in my master bathroom and foyer and a plank wall in my dining room.
We have a lot to do and little time to do it. Here is our list.
