You may have noticed I’ve been away from the blog for a bit. We took a family trip to Hawaii to celebrate our two sons graduating from college last May. I plan on doing a blog about our trip, and how to travel to the islands on a budget. In the meantime I’ll be posting pics on my instagram.
I was really worried about leaving the blog, but decided since I’m my own boss in the blog world I could take a real vacation if I wanted to without the world crumbling. It turned out to be true! Now we’re back and we have some really fun projects in the works for the house, and of course the blog. In the meantime I thought I would recap some of our most popular farmhouse style projects and posts so far.
I’ve always known that my husband’s projects would be popular, and its true. Anything he makes really gets a lot of site visits and great feedback. It’s not surprising to me which post has had the most readers. So check out the list and see which project took #1.
I made this list because I heard a lot of people who loved Fixer Upper thought the prices at Magnolia Market are too high. I love the store, but I have to agree that you can get the same look for less by shopping other online stores or local discount stores.
#4 Room Reveal: Farmhouse Style Bedroom Makeover
Our guest room transformation was one of my favorite projects (I know I say that about most of them). After 23 years of raising boys, this room was really fun for me! I’m glad so many readers love it as much as I do.
In this post you can learn how we remodeled our bathroom for under $5500 and turned our ugly old bathtub into a new one! Of course we added farmhouse style shiplap, and it is the focal point of the room. There are two related posts about ordering the vanity top and the $306 flooring that have been really popular too.
I’m really excited about making over my porch this spring. It’s not very big but there are definitely ways I can improve it and make it more inviting. While I was shopping for it, I made this list that is now our second most popular post.
#1 How to Build a Farmhouse Style Headboard with Printable Tutorial
Our most popular post has been the making of this beautiful farmhouse headboard. Mike did a really beautiful job building it and I can’t blame everyone for loving it. The headboard was also featured in a local magazine, which you’ll read about in the blog post.
There you have it! Our most popular farmhouse style posts so far. I would love to hear which one is your favorite?
