There’s an unspoken rule in the blogger world. You must love IKEA. I’m half kidding, but many of us do love the giant home store! IKEA furniture is known for being very basic but also very sturdy. Many DIY fans will take an IKEA piece and dress it up or turn it into something else. This is what is known to decor fanatics as a DIY IKEA Hack. You can find these Hacks for many of their products like their Billy Bookcases, Hemnes Dressers, and Rast Dresser.
I’ve been looking for inspiration and I’ve found some incredibly creative ideas from bloggers. Some have dressed up basic pieces with custom paint finishes to make their pieces look high end. Other bloggers have created built-ins, desks, train tables and more! I thought I would share these creative IKEA Hacks with you, too.
I have to decide what my first Ikea Hack will be. Which one is your favorite? Let me know below.
A little more Ikea for you…..
I recently bought my very first pieces of Ikea furniture. I ordered the Ektorp white sectional and chair for my One Room Challenge and I love them. You can see them in our One Room Challenge Family Style Family Room.
