Our foyer light is from 1986, ugly and gold! I’ve been (slowly) looking for a replacement but husband tells me its about to break so I better hurry! I’m searching for inspiration from episodes of Fixer Upper and I’ve narrowed it down to a couple of farmhouse lighting styles I prefer.

I adore Valentine’s Day and everything girly and pink about it. Being the only girl in the house I get a lot of eye rolls when I decorate for the mushiest holiday of the year. Never fear, I shall not be stopped in my quest to pinkify my house. Over the next couple months we are going to be revealing our office and guest room makeovers. Mike has built beautiful furniture pieces for both rooms and I can’t wait for you to see his creations. Along the way I’ll be sharing some of the smaller projects, like these farmhouse shelves, that help bring the rooms together.
These shelves have been in my office for awhile, but as we were updating the room I realized they needed a decor refresh to fit our farmhouse style.
