In the last few days I’ve seen friends posting pics of their front porches enjoying spring weather. Those friends live way further south than I do. It’s 28 degrees here so it’s not porch time yet. Even when its cold, it’s still fun to look at porches and think about how to decorate when spring does come. Of course I’m partial to farmhouse style porches. There are so many ways to create them and no two porches have to be alike.
When I think of porches I think of the huge sprawling front porches in the movies. The ones where you know people spend the hot summer drinking lemonade on that porch. It doesn’t get much romantic than the porch in The Notebook.
Never fear though if you don’t have a movie sized porch budget.Front porches also can be done on any budget! Whether you spray paint some old furniture from goodwill or buy all new decor, it just takes a little creativity and time to create the perfect space. It doesn’t matter if your porch is big or tiny, it can still be as beautiful.
