It’s here! I finally get to share our finished farmhouse style family room with you! If you’ve been following along you know that we are guest bloggers in the One Room Challenge. You can see over 200 bloggers hard work here. This is our first time participating and it was so much fun!
There’s this crazy thing that happens with your kids. You work really hard to raise them well. You feed them, love them, drive them to activities and, in our case, watch all their sporting events through high school and college. Thousands of sporting events in the snow, rain sleet and hot sun. Then when it is all done, they thank you for your love and dedication by leaving. They even take all their stuff and leave their room empty! Its so unfair. 😉
Of course I’m (sort of) kidding. It’s amazing to see your kids thriving and living on their own. Since one of ours didn’t come back after college, his room has been sitting empty for a few months.
It’s time for our master bathroom renovation reveal! This is the most exciting rehab we have done in the house, so far. I want to share it because I’m proud of it, but more importantly so you can see that it is possible to renovate your bathroom with very little money. So let’s get started.
When we moved into the house this room was actually a formal style living room. As you can see there is a family room across the hall, and we also have a finished basement, so we decided to make this into a giant dining room. I’ve never understood two living rooms across from each other. Are people going to shout over to each other from different couches watching different TV’s? Anyway, here are some before and after pics of our new dining room.
