Thanksgiving is less than a week away and I’m busy making my final table decorations. Our three boys will all be here for dinner and I couldn’t be more excited! I love Christmas, but there is something about Thanksgiving that is so special. For me, having the family here without the added pressure of shopping for gifts makes it a more peaceful holiday.I plan to do some very simple things to dress up the table. In the meantime I thought I would show you some of the fall decor around the house.
Decorating for the holidays doesn’t have to be over-complicated. I usually like my fall décor the most if I just add a few pieces to what I decorate with already. I tend to move stuff around every year and add a few things I found on sale, but I don’t buy all new stuff every year.
In the foyer I just decorated my milk painted hall stand with a couple fall accents. The mirror is from homegoods and the pumpkin is from Michaels. Look for links to the Magnolia Market Jar and Nate Berkus clock below.

This tiered stand from Magnolia Market is another one of my favorites. I love it with these little pumpkins from Michael’s. If you’re looking for cute tiered stands Amazon has a bunch of them here.

The dining room is one of my favorite places to decorate because my husband did such an amazing job with the renovation. Check out the amazing makeover.
I just found this buffet this summer and I love decorating it!
The only new decoration in this picture is the $4.00 clearance trim around the candles. I always check the holiday clearance and pick up most of my décor there. The candles are from Michael’s, the silver candlesticks were a clearance find at Pottery Barn. Cake stands are also another favorite item to keep around, this one was $3.00 at Goodwill!
My stepson took these pics. He works in film and is so talented. I never knew a candle could look so amazing.
Another spot I love to decorate is our fireplace. Mike added the planking which makes any décor look amazing. I’m in love with the old window I found out a flea market and have kept it there since I bought it.
Thanks for taking my little tour. I’ve tried to find similar items for you to shop. With Amazon Prime you can definitely get these in time for all of your festivities!
