I am happy to be back guest posting at Centsible Chateau for another $25 and under craft project. Today I will show you How To Make Gorgeous Moss Balls From Dollar Store Finds! These can be used in so many different ways and can be very pricey. In fact, one of the reasons I wanted to share this tutorial is because I purchased a new dough bowl at a Vintage Market and wanted to put moss balls in it. When I priced the moss balls they were $3-$5 for one! I made 6 for $5! Let me show you how.
How To Make Gorgeous Moss Balls From Dollar Store Finds
2 Bags Of Wiffle Balls (Dollar Store)
2 Bags of Moss (Dollar Store)
Spray Adhesive (Dollar Store)
You can totally make 6 of these in about 15 minutes. There is nothing better than a quick, easy and inexpensive craft!
Moss can be very messy to work with, but I have a tip for you. Place both bags of moss in a large bowl or bucket and work over this to avoid any mess! Spray each ball with a generous amount of spray adhesive and then roll the ball in the bucket of moss. You can pack it tightly and then add another coat.
See how easy that was? Let me show you a few ways to decorate with these. Here they are in my dough bowl, which is one of my favorites:
I’ve displayed them on my mantel on candle holders:
You can also make a topiary like I did here:
They look great placed in decorative bowls as well. One thing I love about crafting is you can totally look at things in a different way. Items don’t have to be used for it’s intended purpose. Who would have thought a 33 cent wiffle ball could be used as a gorgeous decorative moss ball? I hope you enjoyed this post and I would love to hear how you would decorate with moss balls!
